This urban legend is false because people investigated and the drug had no part in the story, a babies move but a dead turkey doesn’t, and the couple did not leave a turkey there for her to cook so there’s no way she could have mistaken it. Please pass this urban legend on that this is false and there’s no way that a person can mistake an infant for a turkey even if they are on drugs.

A married couple went to drop their infant off at day car but got to thinking about something else and forgot when they finally remembered that they had to go pick the infant up form day care they found out that the infant was never dropped off. The infant died in the car from heat exhaustion. If you ever heard about this urban legend it’s true. 30 children in the United States died form being left in the car in 2001, on a warm day it only takes 35-45 minutes for a child to die from being left out in the car, most people don’t think that a car can heat up so quickly but truth is that it can. With hearing about this urban legend please inform people that this can really happen and that has happened and to not forget to leave their children in a vehicle.

Pictures that lie

The 5 pictures that stood out to me the most were the 1st picture wit the lady, The picture of Oprah sitting on a pile of money, the picture with the shark out of the water, and the picture of the big grass hopper.

The picture of Oprah sitting on the pile of money was the one that stuck out to me the most out of the 5 of the pictures because it's amazing how much money she's sitting on which i still dont believe that the money is real it looks like its been photoshopped in. Also Oprah looks real young in the picture but i understand that is a old TV guide but it made her look weird like she's fake or like they put her head on another woman's body. I think its amazing how they've used computers to photoshop all the things they did like the money and the body to make it seem real, it's pointless on why would they do that because i kno that evrybody could see that the money is not real and that the body thats suppose to be "Oprah" body is not real at all.

Violence in media

Media Violence has one of the biggest impact today. Video games have allot of violence in them from shooting, fighting, to killing. Like the game Grand Theft Auto people ages 12 and up play the game and it shows killing and fighting and it teaches the younger kids that's not suppose to be playing the game to re act the action that comes from the game. If a kid was to play the game WWE (wrestling) or watch the show they may go to school and react what they have saw in the game or show. In some movies they show violent acts like killing people who have seen them kind of movies may go out and do the same as they seen in the movie. The movie Higher Learning is about a sniper innconent at a college due to racist beliefs. The Virgina Tech Shooting is a perfect example of the shooting that happened in Higher Learning except the racist part, the Virgina Tech shooter may have saw the movie and wanted to act out the guy did in Higher Learning. All news stations around the country played Columbine shooting everywhere the Virgina Tech shooter may have seen the news and may have gave him ideas to do his shooting.

Hip Hop

Rappers who talk about violence and the streets are just reflecting the violent American culture that we live in. I agree with this statement because allot of rappers do talk about the actions that goes on in the society today the things that they talk about is true. In are society there is allot of violence and the rappers today just talk the about the real things.

I agree with quote it explains how it really is in the African American society. As Chuck D explains that people is confrontational but if you mess with the wrong person it causes problems like he said "I'll wipe your whole neighborhood out" that actually happens in the community there called drive by shootings so i really believe that rappers talk about the violence in are American culture.

The Videos:Tough guys vs Killing us softly

For the past two days we've seen two movies that was really interesting to me. The movies that we watched was different in many ways one movie talked about how technology is used in advertising and the other about stereotypes . The first movie we watched was about how technology are used in advertising in magazines to make the person look more appealing by making their skin look better and their body. It also talked about how they use technology to put together a person that isn't real. The second movie we watched mostly talked about how people are stereotyped as someone they not for example they talked about how young Mexican men are portrayed as like gangsters. The movie asked how men is suppose to be the answers they got back was tough,hard, not weak,etc but they said that's not what make a men a man. The movies really talk about opposite themes like the first movie didn't say anything about how and why people get the way they act from unlike the second movie focused on those things.The first movie focused on talking about technology and they that it is used where the second movie didn't.The two movies talked about one thing that was alike and that's stereotypes and how people look.Both movies also talked about all these things made how media and the people how it is now and what made it lead up to this now, and also how people are really are today and the way they act and what is really really real about the people.Some people grow to think how that's how people should be just by looking at these movies and magazines but they dint show the truth about the people.These movies showed us the truth in are society and how it is different from the movies, magazines and advertising.The movie that i liked the most was The Tough Guys.The Tough Guys video was much more interesting then the Killing us Softly video,it talked more bout why the people that is in are society act the way they do and explained why and it showed scenes from movies that we can relate to The Killing us Softly video didn't really they just showed magazine covers and advertisements from that time so i wasn't really interested in the advertisements from then unlike the Tough Guys video showed movies I've seen before and that i still can see and the movies that they showed i really liked.I would prefer to watch the Tough Guys movie again then i would The Killing us softly movie.

Superbowl

What i've learned about The Superbowl advertisements is that all the advertisements that are played during the comerical breaks pays 3 millions dollars for each commercial. Majority of the commercials that are played during The Superbowl are advertising Beer, the audience that it most is for is Men because they know that majority men are watchin the Superbowl so they will buy there product.

Key Concept

The key concept that i know the most is Key Concept #2(media messages are constructed using a creative language using with its own rules). The concept basically talks about how the media uses logos,slogans,and bright colors to get people attention. Its the easiest one to memorize because this concept is everywhere like the McDonalds sign, or Burger King's slogan "Have it your way".
